IT Support Engineer

RESPONSIBILITY OF JOB

The incumbent will report directly to the Information Technology Manager. As an IT professional in this role, you will be responsible for ensuring network and server administration, maintenance, and uptime. You will be responsible for the administration of emails and the internal helpdesk application. Your role will also involve business analysis and improvement of processes and procedures within the organization.  The candidate should possess customer-facing abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be capable of articulating technical concepts effectively to both technical and non- technical stakeholders.

MainDuties and Responsibilities

•     Support of Operating Systems and Hardware/Software configurations including, but not limited to:

•     Windows Workstations

•     Windows Servers (On-Prem & VDC)

•     Microsoft 365 & Entra AD

•     First and second-line support for, but not exclusively:

•     User support

•     Network & Security – LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi

•     Network Printing - Papercut

•     Software Applications (Sage Advantage)

•     Telephony & Voice over IP

•    Server infrastructure management

•    Data management – Backup, Archiving & Restore

•    IT Asset & Licences management

•    Risk Management & compliance

•    Drafting and updating of IT documentations and policies

•    Understanding of IT budgets and budgetary process

•    Supplier & contract management

•    Any other ad hoc assignments requested by the Group Information Technology Manager that falls within the skills and responsibilities of the job description.
