SUMMARY:
Our client in the Logistics Industry is looking for a Import/Export Controller

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:

Must have own vehicle
Fluent in Afrikaans read and write
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and good customer service
Attention to detail and multitasking
Detail working knowledge of import/export air and sea/road / breakbulk and Ro Ro Operations, INCO
terms
Good knowledge of customs procedures and entries
Estimator of all modes
Must be familiar with Ship Shape

Responsibilities and duties

Attending to all clients, e-mails, and operations on a daily basis
Arranging all bookings with agents, airlines, shipping lines, and transporters and negotiating the best rates
Coordination with overseas agents for bookings, and rates and do the follow-ups
Daily reports keeping clients updated
Arranging all docs required for the job, checking documents
Ensuring all tasks are handled timeously
All operations regarding the movement of cargo imports and export as well as follow up, ensuring
shipments go smoothly to keep customers happy
Keeping the company’s best interests at heart and always acting professionally
Invoicing
Estimates
Working under pressure and meeting deadlines
