In-House Operations Controller

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric.
• 10 – 15 years’ experience in import and export, air, and sea, clearing and forwarding controller duties.
• Relevant Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Essential:    
• MS Office
• Cargowise
• In-house controller experience.
• Essential: ISO exposure

Roles and responsibilities:

• Manage and provide regular updates on the status of client purchase orders.
• Processing of all shipments on Cargowise.
• Manage exceptional crisis shipments in an effective and a professional manner.
• Building solutions on new routes and suppliers.
• Working as a team with the client’s procurement team.
• Filing and E-docs in line with ISO requirements.
• Liaise with all third-party service providers with regards to execution and paperwork.
• Manage exceptional crisis shipments in a professional and effective way.
• Responsible to negotiate rates.
• Ensure that cargo release and delivery procedures are met.
• Ensuring that incoming documents are checked, registered, and properly processed.
• Ensuring that the service performance objectives are consistently achieved.
