SUMMARY:
Leading retailer requires a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join their team of Industrial Engineers to support supply chain related projects in the country's largest Distribution Center (DC), situated in KZN. Working closely with other team members who will provide guidance and support where needed to ensure the success in delivery of projects. A fast-paced, action-packed role that will directly contribute to the company supply chain success.

POSITION INFO:
Summary:

The role will have a focus on DC operations, systems and facility infrastructure
The incumbent will be exposed to various aspects of the company's supply chain, including Outbound Shipping, Distribution Centres, Transport and Stores
One would have the opportunity to diagnose problems, identify solutions, propose improvements and execute action plans
Attractive to those who enjoy being immersed in operations and solve problems which will have a direct and measurable impact on the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Development of business cases
Leading supply chain projects
Identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Mapping and development of supply chain processes
Provide systems support and training
Develop business processes to enable optimal business and system integration
Liaise with various role players and departments to provide supply chain support

Requirements:

Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering
Min 5 years’ experience as an Industrial Engineer, preferably in a warehouse environment
Project Management experience (advantageous)
Retail knowledge and exposure (advantageous)
Experience in Lean or Six Sigma methodology (advantageous)
Advanced level of computer skills, especially MS Excel or Google Sheets
Willingness to travel
