Injection Moulding Team Leader

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications

Matric with a relevant technical qualification, additional certification in polymer science or manufacturing is a plus

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in injection moulding operations, including setting and operating machines
Technical proficiency in carious types of injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Familiarity with mould maintenance and basic mechanical repairs
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma is advantageous.

Duties

Lead and supervise a ream of operators and technicians, ensuring optimal workflow and productivity.
Provide training and mentorship to staff to enhance skill development and operational efficiency.
Monitor team performance, conduct performance appraisals, and address any staff concerns.
Sep up, start and operate various types of injection moulding machines to ensure proper operation and output.
Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings to maintain high-quality standards and prevent production downtime.
Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of machinery and work arears.
Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet daily and weekly targets.
Ensure efficient use of materials and minimize waste.
Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime and material usage.
Inspect and ensure finished products meet quality specifications and standards.
Collaborate with the quality control team to identify and resolve quality issues.
Promote and maintain a sage working environment in line with company policies and safety regulations.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols
