SUMMARY:
Our client specializes in project support for the (petro) chemical and maritime industries. They provide personnel in the areas of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, Maintenance, and Safety. They are seeking a Innovation Lead for Naval Ship - Signatures & Vulnerability.

POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Innovation Lead for Naval Ship - Signatures & Vulnerability
Location: Netherlands
Salary: To be discussed in the Interview
Vacancy Type: Full-Time

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:

Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
Extensive experience in naval ship systems and vulnerability analysis.
Strong understanding of radar cross-section, acoustic signatures, and stealth technology.
Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).

Beneficial requirements:

Proven leadership experience in a technical innovation role.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Duties and responsibilities:

Lead research and development in ship signatures and vulnerability assessment techniques.
Develop innovative solutions to improve naval ship security against detection and attack.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to implement new technologies in naval ship systems.
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability studies to inform design decisions.
Provide technical guidance on signature management during ship design and operational stages.
