SUMMARY:
Instrument Designer - Midrand

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently recruiting an Instrument Designer with Petrochemical, Oil and Gas or similar sector experience for a 12-month contract position in Midrand that meets the following requirements:
 
Qualification, Experience & Requirements:
5 Years minimum experience in: 
  • Must be able to produce air distribution schedules and indicate positions of air manifolds on plot plans for drafting by the CAD operator
  • Design the instrument cable block diagrams for drafting by the CAD Operator
  • Design guidelines for the cable racking / routing drawings for drafting by CAD Operator
  • Produce cable schedule from the cable block diagram and project specifications / standards
  • Develop the instrument design index based on EFD’s and Instrument Index
  • Produce hand sketches of earthing philosophy diagrams, based on engineering input for drafting by CAD Operator.
  • In-Tools 6.0 or Higher
  • Smart Plant Review
  • Microsoft Packages
