Our client in the FMCG sector seeks to employ an Intermodal Manager. This role reports directly to the Logistics and Operations Director.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Main duties:

- Review, amend and implement a transparent Intermodal standard operating, planning and reporting system
- Manage the Intermodal Team on a day to day basis
- Assist in Intermodal day to day activities
- Responsible for the safe keeping, management and allocation of petty cash funds in order to pay casual drivers, dry goods store staff and service providers where required
- Maintain current Intermodal Service Provider relationships
- Maintain current Third Party Cold Storage Service Provider relationships
- Benchmark current Intermodal rates nationally
- Source new service providers
- Negotiate port to cold store transport rates nationally
- Sign off port to cold store invoices nationally
- Resolve Intermodal queries
- All and any other related tasks & duties as expected from the employer from time to time

Requirements:

- Matric
- Tertiary qualification advantageous
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
- Syspro experience advantageous
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
