SUMMARY:
Our client is a leading Brokerage based in Durban North with a vacancy for a junior insurance broker assistant.

Positions available ASAP

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities of an Internal Broker  for  Insurance Broker.
 
Amendments – General
  • receive instruction from Broker Consultant
  • Update Policy Working Document
  • process the amendment on Cardinal
  • Send updated policy schedule to Broker Consultant to check and then submit to  insurer for signature and return to Broker for submission to client.
  • Maintain electronic versions of all correspondence and ensure filing system on Email and Share Drive is maintained and updated at all times.
 
Renewals
  • Create new folders on Sharepoint
  • Print Claims history and file
  • Prepare working document / renewal proposal spreadsheet and send to Broker Consultant to then review and use for renewal Broking.
  • Revalue vehicles as per online Portal.
  • Once Broker has confirmed renewal with the insurers, assist Broker with Renewal Presentation, send to Broker to check and discuss with client.
  • Process renewal Cardinal, and send to Broker to check and submit to insurers for Closing instructions.
  • Update Share Point with new folder and ensure all documents are saved.
 
New Business (Quotes)
  • Assist with Loading New policies on Cardinal.
 
General
  • Assist with drafting of “Confirmation of Insurance” requests from Broker Consultant, and forward back to Broker for their submission to client.
  • Obtain updated client contact details and ensure records are updated accordingly
  • Offer support to Broker Consultant
  • Attend to all other general queries and or office tasks which may arise.
