Our client is a leading petrochemical company in South Africa, specialising in the distribution of industrial gases and products for various applications. They are currently seeking a talented and motivated individual to join their team in Ballito as an Internal Sales Representative.

As the Internal Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth by providing excellent customer service and support to internal and external clients. This role involves managing inquiries, processing orders, and maintaining strong relationships with an existing customer base.

The ideal candidate should have a background in the petrochemical industry, be energetic, self-motivated, and have strong sales acumen with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3-5 years’ proven experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in the petrochemical industry or related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-centric approach.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Technical aptitude and a willingness to learn about industrial gases and related products and applications.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Accurate processing of customer sales orders using the SAGE system.
• Handling of customer tele-sales queries and enquiries.
• Work closely with production, warehousing and distribution for managing the accurate dispatch and deliveries to customers.
• Management of sales orders on the SAGE system.
• Accurate capturing of new and updated existing customer account information on the SAGE System.
• Perform a tele-selling function to existing and potential new customers to promote and increase sales as a whole.
• New business and lead generation.
• Internal and external training.

• Engage with customers ensuring that inquiries are promptly responded to with accurate information regarding product, pricing and availability.
• Process orders, coordinate delivery and handle all issues relating to orders, backorders, returns and replacements.
• Assist the external sales team by preparing quotes and assisting with tenders or proposals and product information.
• Follow up on generated leads.
• Promote new products and initiatives.
• Provide technical product support and guidance to customers.
• Ensure follow-up of all sales activities, customer interactions and transactions and overall excellent customer service.
