Our client, a manufacturing company in the Stellenbosch area, is looking to hire an Internal Sales Representative.

Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 with standard Mathematics.
  • Excellent administrative skills (please note that this position is highly administrative).
  • Strong skills needed in Excel – tests and analysis will be done to determine Excel skills.
  • Strong skills in email and Web browser use.
  • Knowledge and experience of the ERP system is essential.
  • Previous sales experience will be an advantage.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Vibrant voice and demeanor.
  • Physically active – be able to spend time liaising with dispatch and transport fleet.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail important.
  • Reside near Stellenbosch.
  • Have own transport.
  • Bilingual.

Job Description:

  • Generate additional sales through incoming new enquiries, quotes, calls and web enquiries.
  • Grow new sales by outbound cold calls and emails follow up of dormant customers. Generate interest for company products (ERP, Internet leads and research).
  • Key interface - 1st point of contact with existing and new customers – vital for competent, positive attitude, knowledge of products, delivery times, delays and company policy.
  • Generate immediate quotation from any new lead and External Sales Representative request (within 15 minutes of request).
  • Schedule all delivery requests as soon as possible, convey estimate time / day of delivery (keep customer updated on any unforeseen delay).
  • Service levels priority.
  • Ensure ERP sales contact lists are updated on ERP – CRM vital – office and site contacts (vital for after-hours contacts and service levels).
  • Understand customer needs and requirements.
  • Liaise with debtor’s department regarding credit limits, cash payments and new accounts.
  • Update and release all overnight cash account payments by 8.30am.
  • Open and activate new cash accounts accurately – contacts, site person and VAT numbers.
  • Weekly update of all ERP duties (maintain and expand database of prospects and customers).
  • Refer any qualified lead / enquiry to appropriate External Sales Representative for follow up, samples, etc.
  • Provide all appropriate service / assistance to external sales force to assist additional sales generation.
  • Customer complaints / credit request – follow up, complete and file all requests weekly.
  • Relieve dispatch function whenever need arise.
  • Assist all walk-in customers with queries / advice.
  • Ensure sample display updated / accurate.
  • Answering of sales calls – immediate, positive response.
  • Sales telephone to be constantly manned (standby / alternative person to be notified before any absence from sales office).

Salary: R15 000 per month.

Starting date: As soon as possible.

Area: Stellenbosch area.
