Inventory Clerk - Camperdown, KZN

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Logistics Industry, based in Camperdown (KZN), is currently looking to employ an Inventory Clerk.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Proven work experience as an Inventory Clerk or similar role with a minimum of two years' experience. 
• Matric qualification essential; further education advantageous. 
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - must be able to work well with security officers.
• Ability to work extended hours.

• Maintaining and updating records according to Manufacturers requirements.
• Counting products or supplies in stock.
• Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
• Distributing or placing products at the relevant activity within the storage facility.
• Receive and inventory stock.
• Perform inventory adjustments and update the same in database.
• Analyze and troubleshoot inventory control problems in a timely fashion.
• Process shipping and landing orders timely and follow-up on pending orders.
• Prioritize and perform daily workload assigned by Supervisor.
• Prepare and submit inventory control reports to Supervisor.
• Respond to enquiries regarding products and inventories.
• Perform inventory control to ensure optimal inventory levels.
• Provide direction and assistance to colleagues as needed.
• Maintain inventory reports according to standard documentation and archiving procedures.
• Perform clerical tasks including answering calls, taking messages, operating printers, and typing letters.
• Ensure that products received are in accordance with quality specifications from customer.
• Oversee product repairs and fitments by third parties
• Utilize word processing applications and spreadsheets for inventory control documentation.
• Other various tasks as assigned.
