Southern Oil Pty Ltd, an established company and market leader in manufacturing Canola oil and related products in the retail, food services, and bulk sectors, has the following exciting career opportunity in Swellendam.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Short Summary:

The main purpose of the position is to receive and issue bags for oil cake production.

Responsibilities:

Receive all packaging material that is needed for the oilcake bulk filling plant.
Follow the correct procedure when credit needs to be processed.
Ensure all stock items are identifiable using the correct ID pallet.
Issue bags and wooden pallets as per request for the department.
Report and hand in the correct and completed documentation for processing.
Ensure the correct diesel measurements are taken each morning at the prescribed time.
Conduct daily cycle counts of all the items present in the bag store.
Ensure that all excess pallets lying around on site are taken to the bag store.
Assist and maintain the overall housekeeping in the department.
Ensure compliance policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Key Competencies:

Education and Experience

Minimum of Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
One-year relevant warehouse experience
Literate in Microsoft Word and Excel
Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans
A forklift driver’s license will be an advantage

Attention to detail
Must be able to work in a team and alone
