Our client seeks an Admitted Junior Attorney with completed articles to join their legal process team.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Drafting summonses, applications, affidavits and other legal processes
• Having affidavits attested
• Registering on, loading and effectively utilising CaseLines and Court Online to keep track of and monitor progress made in matters assigned to you and other members of our Legal Process Team (LPT)
• Effectively profiling and proceeding with legal action against juristic entities and sureties
• Conducting deceased estate and insolvency searches
• Corresponding with liquidators, trustees, and executors
• Liaison with correspondent attorneys, the courts, sheriffs and our JHB office to ensure smooth and effective workflow
• Providing opinions about credit law and changes to legislation 
• Responding to court queries comprehensively, promptly and professionally
• Providing occasional training to LPT colleagues and employees
• Actively working accounts allocated to you
• Preparing reports ahead of meetings with debtors
• Ensuring that legal action is instituted against debtors when necessary
• Appearing in court when required
• Preparing briefs to counsel
• Drafting templates
• Dealing with post-judgment accounts, including warrants of execution and bank account attachments

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Completed articles and is due to be admitted or recently admitted
