Junior Bookkeeper

SUMMARY:
Well-established company based in the East Rand is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to joint their team!

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric qualification
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting (Degree or Diploma)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role or position
• Reliable transportation
• Professional and well-groomed appearance
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal
• Proficient in:
  • MS Office (Advanced Excel skills, including V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, and Formulas)
  • Email (Outlook)
  • Accounting software (Pastel Evolution)
  • Inventory management software (SAP / BPO)
• Strong account reconciliation skills with solid financial knowledge

• Daily posting of Cashbook entries
• Monitor and compare monthly expenses against budgets, reporting any overspend to the Financial Director / Management
• Regular reconciliation of Intercompany Trading and Loan Accounts
• Process and record monthly expense claims for branches and staff
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Update the transport schedule on a monthly basis
• Record all fleet account expenses each month
• Capture and reconcile monthly company credit card expenses
• Maintain and update company cellphone and landline schedules monthly, including assisting with new contracts and terminations
• Assist with quarterly stock takes, including counting and data entry
• Support the annual financial audit process
• Provide ad hoc accounting support within the department as needed
