Junior Cashbook Clerk

SUMMARY:
My client is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Cashbook Clerk to join their team. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills to assist with managing daily financial transactions, invoicing, and general office administration.

POSITION INFO:
As a Cashbook Clerk, you will be responsible for the following:

• Process and reconcile daily bank transactions, ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date.
• Prepare and submit payment requests for authorization, maintaining accurate cashbook records.
• Monitor and resolve any discrepancies in cashbook transactions promptly.
• Generate and send invoices to customers, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
• Follow up on overdue payments and assist with resolving any billing issues with clients.
• Maintain communication with clients to ensure prompt and accurate payment collection.
• Assist with general office duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
• Organize and manage office supplies, ensuring that the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Provide support for other administrative tasks as required by the team.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in office administration or accounting will be considered an advantage.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, particularly in cashbook management, invoicing, or office administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with solid numerical skills.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Pastel, SAP, or Xero is a plus.
