Junior Control Systems Engineer

SUMMARY:
Program, test and commission facilities to the project scope of work, etc.

POSITION INFO:

Basic Requirements:

• Formal Tertiary education: Grade 12
• N.Dip (Electrical Engineering); N.Dip (Mechatronics); B.Eng(Mechatronics) or similar
• Languages: English – Read, write and speak (required)
• Afrikaans – Read, write and speak (optional)
• German - Read, write and speak (optional)
• Drivers Licence: Code 8- (or higher)

Experience:

• PLC logic and programming with any of the following PLCs: Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.
• Experience with interfacing SCADA, motion control, robotic systems, vision systems or measuring systems to PLC applications
• Computer and PLC system configuration knowledge understanding
• Able to create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation, testing and start-up
• Work logically and systematically and apply problem solving techniques to gain purposeful and conclusive resolve
• Sound understanding of facility commissioning requirements with 1 – 3 year exposure to projects environment
• Practical usage of MS software or similar
• Confidently interface and communicate with other technical professionals
