Are you an experienced Analytics professional with a passion for African regions?

JOB DESCRIPTION:

My client, a fast-growing finance and technology company operating in Zambia, South Africa, Uganda and, soon, Kenya is looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join their new team. The perfect candidate must balance analytical diligence with a willingness to learn and innovate.

DUTIES:

Scorecard code maintenance, testing and reporting
Assist in development of scorecards and credit policy proposals
Ability to translate business problems into analysis
Passion for Africa and willingness to work in the developing world context
Be able to choose the right metrics and best visualization representations for business problems
A sound exposure to working with credit risk or parts thereof would be advantageous

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering
2 years in analysis role
SQL and SAS - NB!
