SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading POS/Shopfitting manufacturer is seeking a Junior Industrial Designer who is creative and detail-orientated to deliver innovative, high-quality design solutions for the retail and commercial sectors.
This full-time on-site role located in Durban reports to the Senior Designer and will be responsible for generating artwork for 3D modelling and delivering design ideas off briefs. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines without constant supervision.

Minimum Job Requirements and Skills:
- Matric – with Technical Drawing as a subject.
- Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design/Industrial Design/Product Design or related.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, CorelDRAW, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read and understand design briefs accurately.
- Skills in AutoCAD or 2D CAD drawing are advantageous.
- Knowledge of printing, DTP, or repro processes is a plus.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all work.
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal abilities, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
- Solid understanding of creative processes and fundamental design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and promoting ongoing improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Create and edit print-ready artwork for production.
- Generate artwork for 3D modelling (prior modelling experience is beneficial, but not required).
- Assist with file layouts, including PDF and AI formats.
- Edit Illustrator and PDF files for design revisions.
- Import, export, and convert DXF files.
- Design and develop visually appealing PowerPoint presentations.
