We are looking for an admitted Attorney to join a dynamic team as Junior Legal Manager for Multinational company based in the Fourways area. 

Position summary:

The Junior Legal Manager is responsible for supporting internal and external stakeholders, ensuring legal compliance in respect of business decisions, processes and documentation. This role is expected to be self-managing with a keen openness to learning and understanding the legislation in the tower, property and telecommunications space. The Junior

Legal Manger should be able to partner with the Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel to manage and balance key commercial and business initiatives in fulfilment of the company strategy. Solid communication, ability to work under pressure and understating of the greater role that the Legal Team plays in the business is of utmost importance. He/she is also responsible to manage any outsourced Legal partners to ensure KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are met and that a professional service is provided to the business that meets or exceeds expectations. A team player and that has an eye for detail.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Law (BCom Law) and LLB Degree or equivalent foreign qualification.
  • Admission as an attorney in the High Court.
  • 3-5+ years Legal Experience;
  • 3-5+ years relevant experience in applying general commercial and corporate law.
  • Property law and/or telecommunications law experience would be beneficial.
  • Experience working in a medium to large law firm

Duties: 

  • Effective self-leadership as an individual contributor in a high-performance environment.
  • Provision of legal advice to support business stakeholders and ensure legal compliance of business decisions, processes and documentation.
  • Coaching, training and change communication to the company staff on any legal developments impacting the business.
  • Management of legal and regulatory outsourced partners.
  • Drafting and negotiation of property leases and agreements.
  • Negotiating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting internal stakeholders team with assigned projects.
