Position: Junior Machine Tool Technician
Location: Milnerton
Salary: R15,000 R25,000 per month (depending on experience)

You will be trained and mentored by our two highly experienced technicians, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of various machine tools.

About the Company:

Importers and stockists of new and pre-owned metalworking machinery, tooling, and engineering accessories.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the repair, maintenance, and servicing of machine tools under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in machinery.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Document repairs and maintenance activities according to company procedures.
• Learn and apply knowledge about different types of machinery and their components, including electrics, hydraulics, and mechanical parts.
• Collaborate with the senior team to ensure machines are functioning efficiently and safely.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Technical background: Certificate or diploma in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of machinery electrics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems is essential.
• Previous machine tool service experience would be a significant advantage, but not mandatory.
• Hands-on experience through an apprenticeship or technical high school is highly desirable.
• Knowledge in fitting and turning is a plus, especially if you are interested in moving into a broader role involving machine maintenance and repair.
• English and Afrikaans
• Drivers Licence
