SUMMARY:
Truck Trailer Manufacturing company in Wadeville is looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in January 2023!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications Required:

Grade 12 and postgraduate qualification in BSC Mechanical Engineering, from a recognized institution.

Skills Required:

Computer literate on MS Office as well as Solidworks, Sigmanest, Accumatica and CREO.
Must be able to work independently.
Must have worked previously in a trailer manufacturing industry.
Minimum 2 years working as a Junior Mechanical Engineer.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
Manage time well and multitask with ability to work under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work well in a team.
Own transport.
Must be willing to work overtime.

Main Responsibilities:

Design mechanical equipment, parts and systems for transportation vehicles.
Create and maintain bills of materials and drawing registers.
Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs
Develop and perform testing processes
Perform engineering calculations to support design work
Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
Perform detailed documentation
