Junior Millwright (60% Mechanical, 40% Electrical)

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Junior Millwright - in Atlantis ,to join a team at a prominent plastic manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with substantial electrical knowledge, focusing on maintaining and repairing large mould injection moulding machines.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Maintenance (60%):
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on large mould injection moulding machines and associated equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
• Conduct mechanical repairs and overhauls on production machinery, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and conveyors.
• Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.

Electrical Maintenance (40%):

• Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on moulding machines, control panels, and related systems.
• Perform regular inspections and testing of electrical components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Assist in the programming, calibration, and maintenance of PLCs, sensors, and other automation systems.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.

• Operational Support:
• Collaborate with the production team to minimize disruptions and enhance productivity.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machinery performance and production processes.
• Provide technical support and training to junior staff members as needed.
• Minimum N3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Trade Tested Millwright certification. Red seal
