SUMMARY:
Our client, a diverse and expanding manufacturing company, seeks to employ a professional and vibrant Junior Procurement Officer, for a newly created position, based in Somerset West

This role is not a junior to mid-career level role and would suit a candidate who has been in a supervisory level position and candidates resident in the Helderberg and surrounds will receive preference.

POSITION INFO:
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

You must have Matric, (CIPS or Supply Chain Certificate highly advantageous) coupled with 2-5 years experience in you will assist our procurement team in sourcing materials and services essential for our manufacturing processes.
Your prior responsibilities will include supporting vendor management, price negotiations, and maintaining inventory levels to support production needs.
Knowledge of managing and configuring Bill of Materials is essential
Solid proficiency on MS Office (Excel at a elevated level) and Sage essential
You will have had previous working experience in a fast paced and multi-faceted manufacturing environment
You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
