SUMMARY:
Our Client is a seasoned industry leader, specializing in General Plant Maintenance, Construction, and Engineering. We require the professional skills of a Junior Quantity Estimator / Surveyor to join their team on a temporary basis and situated in Merebank, KZN.
POSITION INFO:
Experience in the following:
- Prepare and Analyze costing for tenders, negotiating to ensure budgets are not exceeded.
- Ability to read building plans and drawings
- Pricing of all BOQ’S
- Compilation and monitoring of project allowances
- Measuring on site
- Preparation and submission of tender documents and quotes
- Attend site meetings and liaising with end users
- Planning and organizing
- Presenting and communicating information
Candidate Minimum Requirements and Skills:
- Grade 12
- Proven experience between 3-5 years
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Computer literate (MS Excel/Word/Outlook/MS Projects)
- Well-developed English language skills (speak, read and write)
- Pro-activity
- Confidence and decisiveness
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Driver’s license
