Junior Quantity Surveyor
Position description
Assisting the Management team in all commercial related matters pertaining to live projects as well as assisting with the costing and tendering of future projects.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Take-Offs, experience with QTO Candy advantageous
Assist with the preparation of BOQ’s
Assisting with acquiring prices
Assist with the preparation of Tenders and Quotes
Site visits
Interim valuation and Final Account measurements
Reporting to the Management team in the form of both time, cost and variations.
Candidate to provide
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Passion for the building environment
Knowledge of Construction (Building) – from single houses, complexes, office blocks to schools beneficial
Rate build-ups
Experience with CCS Candy and BuildSmart (Beneficial)
Working on multiple projects essential
Excellence and integrity
Education and experience
BSc / BEng / BTech Quantity Surveying.
2 - 5 years
Computer literate – MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel
(Intermediate level)
Candy and Build Smart knowledge will be highly
advantageous
Strong (high level) communication skills – English and
Afrikaans written and verbal
Own transport and valid driver’s license.
Special requirements
Willing to work overtime to meet deadlines and the
willingness to travel.
Willing to learn more and grow in your role.
SALARY: R25 000 – R45 000 per month
