JOB DESCRIPTION:

Junior Sales Manager – Nelspruit
The role will report directly to the General Manager, while the current Sales Manager will also play an oversight role.
Be the customer interface of the business, with strong exposure to the sales and marketing disciplines. The expectation is that this position should grow into a senior sales manager position as the company expands in the future.
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities
This position will be responsible for the following:
Assist in selling the crop, while also growing overall demand for our product with existing customers and developing new customer relations.
“Take ownership” of a key customer relations by understanding our customers’ needs and resolving their problems in a proactive way.
The position will work closely with the sales and marketing manager, and take over certain customer communication functions as the individual grow into the position.
A strong commercial focus with the implementation of contracts through skillful communication will be one of the key developmental areas of this position.
Integrating the sales’ plan with operational elements to maintain a customer-focused attitude within the group will also become a support function of this position.
Some of the responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
• Assist in the development of an integrated CRM system to cope with current customer base and future growth.
• Implementation of the Customer Contact Strategy for the group of businesses.
• Support marketing efforts – sponsorships, newsletters, website upgrades etc.
• Manage the expectation of customers.
• The handing and coordinating of customer questionnaires and general due diligence.
• Conducting market research.
• Arranging and coordinating customer visits.
• The handling of new enquiries/leads.
• The sending out and receiving feedback on product samples.
• Supporting executive sales functions, especially in the absence of the sales manager.
• Handling of sensitive customer issues like late payments or customer complaints and claims.
• Traveling overseas and visiting customers from time to time, when necessary.
• Supporting the respective account managers throughout the peak logistics and shipping season to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications and experience:
Degree required
3 years commercial / sales experience
Report writing and presentations
Fluent in English
Happy to work in a fast paced environment

Salary - R40 - R50kpm CTC
