Junior Service Technician (Cleaning IND)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

In performance of his/her responsibilities, the service technician oversees the proper and timely service and maintenance and operation of his responsible equipment. His/her duties include:

• Timeously respond to breakdowns.
• Accurately diagnose the failure and costing it correctly.
• Compile an accurate list of spare parts required to compile a quote.
• Follow up regularly on work quoted on and providing feedback to the line manager on delays.
• Provide quality workmanship when effecting repairs on machines or equipment to prevent comebacks and to preserve the integrity of the company.
• Ensure that all documentation is correct and attached to the work job card to prevent any confusion when work should be carried out.
• Effect thorough inspections on machines and equipment when visiting sites in order to try and prevent premature failure of equipment.
• Supply accurate feedback on site visits to supply management with accurate information to compile effective reports.
• Follow up on critical parts and or quotes which could be required in the near future to keep the machine operational.
• Proper housekeeping must be applied to ensure a clean and organized workshop thus improving safety in the process.
• Where company vehicles are supplied, the Company vehicles should be kept clean and tidy at all times as the vehicle are branded and serve as an advertisement as well. Always ensure your company vehicle is roadworthy and do not maliciously damage the vehicle through actions of recklessness.
• Always be presentable by practicing proper personal hygiene.
• Maintain high level of house keeping in your work place.
• Accountable for the control and safekeeping of tools and equipment issued;
• Practice decent and professional manners towards your fellow employees and prevent any and all anger out bursts at work.
• It is the employee’s responsibility to be on time for work and not leave unnecessarily early, these times will be specified by management.
• Other Duties – Perform other duties as may be assigned by higher authority.

Requirements:

• Valid Drivers License.
• Matric.
