SUMMARY:
Junior Site Agent

POSITION INFO:

My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Site Agent to ensure that construction activities are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

ND or BTech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years in civil engineering, particularly in site management.
Strong surveying skills and experience with civil infrastructure projects (pipework, services, layer works, asphalt).
Understanding of earthmoving methods and construction techniques.
Familiarity with project values between R10 million and R20 million.
Knowledge of CCS software is a plus.
Basic understanding of contract law and legal aspects of construction.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Registration with SACPCMP and/or ECSA is preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proactive with strong decision-making skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate project work to meet specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Oversee site management and daily task execution.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and contract requirements.
Manage site measurements, cost reports, and subcontractor certifications.
Communicate with clients and site personnel to resolve issues and coordinate schedules.
Maintain documentation for contractual matters and manage finances.
Supervise subcontractors and oversee tools, equipment, and human resources.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
