An established company in Aberdeen City Centre is looking for a Software Developer to join the team. The company have been around over 10 years now but have seen a lot of growth in the last couple of years.
They help companies to reduce their carbon emissions which is obviously very relatable given the current issues worldwide!
What will I be doing?
Great question!
Up until a year ago, they were working with a consultancy to build their software but decided to start to bring this in-house which has been going really well. They brought in a Lead Developer and Senior Developer who have been working on re-developing a lot of the existing application. It was initially built in Python, JavaScript & Angular.js and has been re-developed in C#, .Net, TypeScript and Angular.
As they continue to be busier and busier with existing and new clients, they are looking to expand the team again with some greenfield projects on the horizon which you will be a key part of. This is an amazing opportunity for someone that really wants to develop their skills as you'll be working very closely with a couple of excellent and experienced Developers.
Who am I?
Given they've already got a Senior and Lead Developer in the team, they're looking to bring someone in at the Junior/Mid-level end of the scale. They need someone to have at least some commercial experience, whether this is from a placement year or someone that has been working in a Graduate Developer role and wants to take a step up, they are flexible but commercial experience is important.
They need someone to have Full Stack Software Development experience but are flexible on the technologies that you have worked with. Obviously, it'd be ideal if you had experience working with C#, .Net, TypeScript and Angular but no worries if not.
What are the benefits and where will I be based?
The company are based in Aberdeen City Centre and expect you to work on-site a couple days per week. You'll be working closely with the Lead & Senior Developer in the team, who will also be in on the same days, so this is something that is a must.
As mentioned, they are looking for someone at Junior/Mid-level and the salary is up to £40,000 depending on experience. This comes with benefits such as Private Healthcare, Bonus and more.
If you're a Grad/Junior Developer that wants to work for a company that is helping to reduce carbon emissions, then please apply and/or get in touch with Jack Steven at Cathcart Technology.
