POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description:
The Junior Group Tax Manager will assist in managing the tax affairs of the Group in compliance with legislation and the Group-wide strategy. This role requires a highly competent and adaptive individual with strong business acumen, as the Group operates across multiple sectors, including financial services, insurance and motor retail.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee tax compliance, liaising with SARS on audits, queries, and timely filing of returns.
Monitor tax legislation changes and support implementation.
Identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring accurate tax reporting and reconciliations.
Prepare and review tax calculations, financial statement disclosures, and Board reports.
Streamline tax processes using technology.
Provide tax advice, support audits, and facilitate tax-driven business initiatives.
Lead and mentor the tax team, driving performance and accountability.

Qualifications & Experience:

BCom Honours in Accounting or Registered CA(SA)
5+ years corporate tax experience is essential
Strong knowledge of tax law, IFRS, and advanced Excel
Financial Services, Insurance and or Banking is highly beneficial.
