Junior Warehouse Stock Controller and General Administrator

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Junior Warehouse Stock Controller & General Administrator in Pretoria North. Has to be fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English. Must have own transport.

POSITION INFO:
Job Summary:

• The Junior Warehouse Stock Controller & General Administrator is responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, assisting with general warehouse administration, and ensuring efficient stock movement in a refrigerated environment.
• This role also involves investigating stock discrepancies, theft, and disciplinary issues, including reviewing security camera footage.

• Stock Control & Warehouse Operations
• Monitor and maintain stock levels in a temperature-controlled warehouse.
• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and full inventory audits.
• Record and report stock movements (receipts, dispatches, transfers).
• Coordinate with suppliers, drivers, and warehouse staff to manage deliveries and shipments.
• Ensure stock is stored correctly, following temperature and handling guidelines.
• Investigate stock discrepancies, losses, or damages and report findings.

• Monitor and analyse CCTV footage to identify stock theft, losses, and security breaches.
• Conduct investigations into stock theft or unauthorized stock movements.
• Assist in gathering evidence for disciplinary procedures related to stock control violations.
• Work closely with management and HR on disciplinary actions and reports.
• Ensure all security and loss prevention protocols are followed.

• Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Process and file purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
• Prepare stock and security investigation reports for management.
• Handle customer and supplier inquiries related to stock availability and deliveries.
• Ensure all stock control and investigation processes comply with company policies.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Support the team with additional administrative and operational tasks as required.
• Adhere to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations.

• Qualifications & Experience:
• Previous experience in stock control, warehouse operations, or administration preferred.
• Experience working in a refrigerated warehouse environment is an advantage.
• Knowledge of loss prevention, stock investigations, or security monitoring is a plus.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, 
• Outlook).
• Understanding of workplace disciplinary procedures is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills.
• Ability to work with CCTV systems and analyse footage.
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

• Ability to work in a cold storage environment for extended periods.
• Comfortable lifting and moving stock items as required
