Junior Workshop Planner

SUMMARY:
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about production? Join our client’s dynamic team in Pretoria as a Workshop Assistant! You'll support the Operations Manager with production planning and controlling of inventory to ensure timely and flawless deliveries of modified vehicles.
The ideal candidate will excel in Planning with a relevant qualification in Production Management / Planning / Industrial Engineering/ Logistics or Supply chain.
2-3 years’ experience in manufacturing and planning required.
Any automotive experience will definitely secure your position.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Relevant qualification:  Production planning/Operations Management/ Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain and Logistics.
• 2-3 Years exp. In manufacturing and planning.
• Exp. in the Automotive industry would secure your position.
• Exceptional organising and administration skills.

• Production Planning and Organizing:
• Develop and implement production plans and schedules.
• Create, Monitor and Manage all Production documentation.
• Coordinate with supply chain / purchasing / finance departments.
• Establish daily goals and effectively communicate them to operators to optimize team productivity.
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules and monitor progress.
• To assist the Operations Manager with the coordination of production plans.
• Gathering sales department information on order intake and future production commitments to meet customer requirements and production deadlines efficiently.
• Preparing Monthly/ Weekly Production reports and forecasts from sales orders received.
• Inventory/ Stock controlling:
• Prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).
• Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed.
• Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items.
• Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals.
• Coordinate regular inventory audits.
