Junior or Snr Engineer / Technologist Contracts

Seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Manager with experience in road infrastructure projects to support senior team members in planning, design, and implementation. Responsible for construction monitoring, contract administration, and professional sub service providers management. Ideal for individuals with a Civil Engineering background and 4-6 years of experience in the field.

Junior or Senior Contracts Engineer / Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support senior team members in planning, design, and implementation of road infrastructure projects.
• Construction monitoring and contract administration activities, including documenting site progress and contractor performance.
• Preparation of Tender and Quotation Documentation.
• Compilation of Engineer's estimate of costs.
• Preparation for and presentation at Contractor's briefing meetings and issuing minutes of such meetings.
• Compilation and issuance of Addenda to Tender Documentation and Tender Evaluation Reports.
• Assist with Client liaison, including meetings and reporting.
• Regular liaison and reporting to Executive Manager: Transportation - Cape Town and Division Head: Transportation.
• Manage the technical outputs of direct reports (senior).
• Management, supervision, mentoring and coaching (senior).
• Compliance with and managing direct reports (if applicable) compliance with the company's Quality Management System (ISO9001:2015) Business Management System (BMS) and the Project Management Online Guide (PMOG).
• Participate in professional organisations for marketing, industry recognition and networking.
• Perform research and write technical papers for publication or presentation at industry-related conferences.

Qualifications: B.Sc. Civil Engineering, B-Tech Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) - Civil
Active registration with ECSA as a candidate engineer/ technologist, with a willingness to learn and eligibility to obtain professional registration within the next 1-2 years (non-senior).
Professional registration as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng with ECSA (senior).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel locally and in Africa for extended periods of time as and when required.
