Education and Experience
Grade 12
A tertiary qualification in Sales and Marketing would be an advantage
Valid Driver's License
Proven work experience as a Sales Representative / Account Manger
Must be computer literate in Microsoft office, Sage Evolution and SYSPRO
Demonstrate ability to grow revenue and achievements of targets
Demonstrate ability to grow customer base
Knowledge of credit management procedures
Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales

Job Summary / Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible to grow and maintain the Western Cape region.
There will be many day-to-day responsibilities including working from an allocated list of existing and potential
customer base.
Demonstrate and educate the customer about product offerings, selling product range, finding solutions to customer
problems, and following up with customers to guarantee customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will work with customers to ensure a smooth sales process.
Demonstrate excellent customer services and professionalism with customers.
Play a fundamental role in achieving customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives.
Be responsible for achieving monthly sales targets and contributions percentage as set out by management.
Their involvement extends to production needs, quality, logistics, credit procedures and to liaise with customers on
a daily basis
Primary duties
Customer Service - ensuring to align all your duties and responsibilities with that of the company
Uphold standards of self-motivation, time management and productivity, and maintain a workspace that is clean, organized and professional
Participate in lead generation strategies, such as cold calling, to identify business prospects and create a list of potential customers
Encourage team members to be productive, friendly, professional and integrity-driven by maintaining a positive demeanor and objective approach to customer conflict
Familiarity with negotiation, upselling and other sales tactics
Utilize designated resources to contact customers and gauge their interest in obtaining products or services offered by the company, analyse each customer and make product recommendations based on a need or problem to be solved
Maintain a log by capturing on the Daily Sales Activity report of which customers have been contacted, the outcome of each interaction and issues that need to be flagged for follow up
Collaborate with colleagues from other departments to identify improvements to product offerings, sales education, marketing strategies and other business-related topics
Schedule a regular call cycle to facilitate and support the sales effort by maintaining a high level of regular contact with customers via telephone and email
Pricing and quotations – to be submitted and approved by the Branch Manager
Resolve all product enquires telephonically/ email and complete a Customer Survey
Mediate conflict in situations where customers are disgruntled or seeking recompense, and provide solutions that re-establish credibility and maintain business but effectively benefit the customer
Overseeing all activities that relate to the servicing of customers with all cash sales, existing and new customers
Rating customer satisfaction and provide feedback to Branch Manager
Expedite all daily and weekly sales activities and reports and interbranch requests
Assuming certain functions as delegated to you when another member of management is on leave
Participating in quality group activities such as weekly National Sales Meetings, Internal branch meetings
Providing a friendly & readily available first point of contact for customers
Ensuring that leads (and required info) are followed up timeously
Entering potential new customers as the enquiry occurs
To pro-actively seek new business in the specified product range, by targeting a combination of existing customers and prospective customers
Providing feedback to Branch Manager on lost/ closed accounts
Replacing lost business with new business
Any other reasonable instructions relating to work will be discussed & implemented by the Branch Manager
Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships by quickly building rapport with others and relating well to different types of people
Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximise satisfaction
Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes
Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
Ensures continued adherence to quality and quantity standards, customer satisfaction expectations and safety objectives
Analyse the market potential, track sales and status reports
Supply management with reports on customer needs, challenges, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Keep up-to-date of best practices and promotional trends
Monitor budget, control expenditure and ensure the efficient use of resources
Conduct market research, competitor and customer analysis
