SUMMARY:
Experienced Key Accounts Manager / Business Development Manager / Sales Consultant urgently required to manage a portfolio of Independent dealers in the West Rand, JHB South and North West areas.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • 2-5 years min Sales experience
  • Diploma / Certificate in Sales / Marketing
  • Own Car

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Achieve set sales targets.
  • Trading Term Negotiation.
  • Operate as the lead point of contact between customers and company.
  • Identify, develop and accomplish new in-store activities to increase sales.
  • Introduce new products
  • Successful new product listings.
  • Presentation of bundle deals as an added value line applicable to retail store/theme to achieve growth.
  • Set overall targets for each retailer, with specific targets for individual products.
  • Conduct training with retail staff on listed lines as well as any new products.
  • Investigate and obtain new business with independent retailers.
  • Act as primary contact to address customer concerns and issues.
  • Fully understand the logistics of each customer
  • Manage and implement new lines on dealer website
    • Ensure stock levels are correct and stock is merchandised accordingly
    • Actively communicating with customers
    • New market penetration and development
    • Resolving customer queries
    • Conducting needs analysis
    • Managing an effective call cycle

    • IN-STORE ACTIVITIES
      • Take full advantage of any in-store branding, activities, promos to ensure maximum brand exposure and sales on lines.
      • Ensure that aged stock is merchandised correctly to increase sales to avoid returns
      • Encourage retailers to participate in promotions by implementing staff incentives as directed by management.
      • Successful roll out of regional part of national promos
      • Ensure stock levels are correct and stock is merchandised accordingly
      • Create promotion schedule in store
      • Analyse and provide feedback on promo results highlighting area’s of success with continued approach
      • Area’s that are unsuccessful provide potential solutions
      • Full function to manage merchandising requirements and sell through to achieve optimal display of products either by 3rd party merchandisers, in house customer merchandiser and in house company merchandisers
      • Analyse of sales per product per store to determine best practice
      • Improvement of forward share of company
      • Identify, present and implement effective merchandising point of sale aids
      • Be continually aware of competitive activities marketing / products / pricing etc.  provide potential solutions – kickbacks and present to management

      Staff

      • Ensure all retail staff are trained on listed lines
      • Provided sales support and guidance to retail sales staff
      • Take full advantage of the customer in-house external sales force for joint sales calls to end users

      In-store Marketing and brand awareness

      • Responsible for building the company brand in store
      • Ensure stock is positioned correctly based on local demographic
      • Identify opportunities for in store branding
