Job Description

In this position you will be reporting to the Professional Engineer.  Your duties will include but not limited to:

• Ccontribute to Conceptual to Detailed Design, Documentation and Contract Administration of services for civil infrastructure projects including but not limited to:
  • Roads and municipal services
  • Ensure all designs are checked and approved by the relevant manager (professionally registered) prior to forwarding to the relevant client and contractor
• The preparation of feasibility reports
• Attending meetings with clients and stakeholders as and when required
• Assist with the implementation of medium to large sized projects within technical standards, quality, budgets, and time frames. This includes the technical support to senior members of the Technical teams
• Site supervision as and when required
• Contribute to the preparation of project reports and develop proficiency in technical report writing
• A working understanding of project finances and project budgets for medium to large scale projects
• Procure new business from existing and new clients
• Develop and implement initiatives to improve cost effectiveness and efficiency of project execution
• Manage staff, including training, interviewing, monitoring performance and engaging in programmes that assist in the identification of abilities and the empowerment thereof

Qualifications

• B.Eng or BTech - Civil
• PrEng / PrTechEng registration will be advantageous

Skills

• + 5 years experience
• AutoCad,  Civil 3D
