Lab Technician

The Lab Technician will be trained to perform chemical analysis according to SANAS ISO17025 methods with the opportunity to develop as a technical signatory.

Requirements:

• Qualification: A relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum experience: 2 years’ experience in a testing lab
• Basic computer skills (particularly excel)
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Ability to work with accuracy and precision even when under pressure
• Well organized in work habits with neat, orderly and traceable documentation.
• Strength of character, resilience and tenacity
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with clients, staff and management.
• Willingness to be part of a small high performance team
• Willingness to work overtime to ensure the jobs are completed on time.
