Position:  Leaner Support Administrator

Stipend: R5300,00

Location: Pietermaritzburg (KZN)

POSITION INFO:
About the role
Learner Support is one of the essential roles within the school since this role supports both the teachers
and learners. It is a role that will continuously be required to ensure that there is sufficient support for
teachers to perform their duties and that the learners have more aid than their teachers. Direct report:
Deputy Principal
Responsibilities

• Collating and distributing all assessment copies, both electronic and hard copy
• Uploading electronic assessments to V-soft
• Train pupils to use V-soft usage for electronic reader, use of computer etc.
• Invigilate all assessments for accommodations
• Manage the individual assessment programmes from Grades 8-12 e.g. plan for each assessment
• session with regards to who/what/time
• Liaises with Academic Deputies, School Counsellor and teaching staff
• Managing timesheets
• Admin for School Counsellor

• South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34
• Must have not participated on the YES Programme before
• Matric, a Business Administration Certificate or Diploma
• The ability to communicate positively and effectively with both staff and pupils
• High levels of organisational and administrative competency
• Strong systems-orientation
• Computer literate
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Proactive and adaptable approach
• The ability to create a calm, safe and disciplined assessment environment
