Lecturer: IT Management and Governance

• Facilitate teaching and learning at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
• Contribute to the creation of knowledge by virtue of postgraduate studies, research, innovation, publications and postgraduate supervision.
• Perform academic administration.
• Incorporate trends with regard to learning and teaching to ensure a student-centred learning experience.
• Maintain relevant and up to date learning and teaching material by integrating latest IT/technology trends.
• Participate in projects targeted at community service and engagement.
• Ensure that the modules comply with all quality requirements.

CORE COMPETENCIES

• Possess sound knowledge of the theory and application of Information Security and Cybersecurity.
• Ability to facilitate learning at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Information Security and Cybersecurity.
• Knowledge in the fields of IT Project Management and IT Service Management would be advantageous.
• Ability to actively engage in and supervise post graduate research.
• Ability to synthesize information to design learning experiences.
• Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences through various media.
• Ability to work well with other members of the Department and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

REQUIREMENTS

A Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field (Computer Science or Information Systems) with at least 2 years of relevant working experience.

Evidence of teaching experience at undergraduate level. Industry experience would be advantageous.
