SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Librarian for a 12 month contract vacancy based in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 with Degree / Higher Level Qualification in Library & Information Science
2+ years library work experience
MS Office literacy and work experience on a computerized library management system
Good knowledge of cataloguing and classification rules
Strong interpersonal, admin & communication skills in English and at least one African language indigenous to SA

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Member registrations and liaison
Record management
Outreach services
Cataloguing and marketing duties
Must be first language speaker in more than one African language

Salary: R273 384.00 per annum + related fringe benefits
