Motsoeneng Bill Attorneys Incorporated, a leading boutique law firm, located in Sandton, Johannesburg, has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned admitted attorney to join our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team.
What we are looking for:
This is a great opportunity for a forward-thinking, talented Director/Partner who has experience in representing and a working knowledge of Public Sector enterprises as the firm does a lot of work for state-owned companies. The successful candidate will be working across a variety of legal disciplines and to succeed should be able to apply that knowledge and experience in this role.
The ideal candidate must meet these minimum qualifications and experience requirements:
- LLB degree
- Admitted Attorney
- 8 - 10 years post admission experience most of which must have been spent in a law firm
The successful candidate must meet these role requirements:
- Have sound litigation and legal dispute resolution experience
- Have general labour and employment law; corporate and commercial law; and administrative law
- Be pragmatic and solution-driven, with an understanding of each client's business and economics and the factors that drive a client's decision-making processes
- Have strong communication skills - verbal and written (with a focus on plain English)
- Have a strong work ethic and an ability to conceive strategy, exercise initiative, take responsibility
- Be capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to thrive in a team environment
- Be extremely detail oriented
- Ability to understand various legal and financial instruments
- Have a stellar reputation in the industry relating to: -
– Ethics
– Diligence
– Skill
Role Responsibilities:
- Independently facilitate matters
- Write legal opinions
- Compile and review contracts
- Review tenders and proposals
- Supervise and train the junior attorneys and candidate attorneys
- Maintain a disciplined administration of the practice
- Maintain daily time-recording
- Consult with and advising clients
- Conduct legal research
