Summery:

Lodge Anchor is the primary point of contact for guests and ensuring they have a welcoming and enjoyable experience throughout their stay, they provide information and assistance to guests regarding local attractions and activities, they ensure smooth operations between different departments, such as housekeeping, food and beverage, and activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• The core function of the lodge anchor is to host the guest and manage all aspects of their stay to maximize guest delight
• Valid RSA Driver's License
• Proficient in Office Suite and Email
• Exceptional Guest Relations skills
• Ability to manage staff
• Understanding and ability to manage the different departments
• Ability to plan ahead and problem solve
• Financial experience in budget control, stock takes and stock control

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Big 5 reserve and 4 star lodge necessary
• ResRequest experience will be beneficial

• Meticulous in all aspects of managing the lodge
• Managing, Overseeing Staff with the General Manager
• Staff training and development
• Assisting the marketing manager to get content for social media
• Hosting Duties
• Allocation of Airport Transfers
• Little paws program
• Assistance around the lodge in other departments if needed
• Reporting to General Manager, Group Operations Manager(s) and Head Office

• Stock control and stock takes
• Maintain the correct allocations of expenditures

• Manage the housekeeping and front office departments in conjunction with your HOD and General Manager
• Ensure the lodge maintains the required standards aesthetically
• Food and Beverage and Kitchen
• Ensure costs are maintained as per the required standard
• Assist with Events planning and execution
• Assist with menu planning and cost control

• Hands on approach towards the guest experience
