SUMMARY:
Red Ember is currently recruiting a Logistics & Office Administrator at a client to be based in Pretoria.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

  • Create systems to increase office efficiency
  • Quality assurance; ensure company quality standards of product and services
  • Manage data in spreadsheets and reports
  • Keep records and reports up to date
  • Organize and schedule meetings and events
  • Answer phone calls and redirect clients to the right department
  • Communicate and provide documents to clients such as vendor applications etc.
  • Make sure that all deadlines are reached with good time management and
  • prioritization
  • Help with administrative tasks in all departments
  • Order office materials
  • "Host" clients that visit our office with care and support
  • Help prepare technical documents
  • Stock Management
  • Keep track of stock and ensure availability of products
  • Order stock from different suppliers
  • Organize stock
  • Process shipments of imports and exports
  • Handling import and export customs
  • Fulfillment of orders. (High value, medium volume, +/- 1 hour of each day)
  • Pack and ensure that orders go out on time and with excellence
  • Process shipments of local and international orders
  • Plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries
  • Update clients on shipments
  • Respond to any issues or complaints
  • Improve business logistics
  • Select carriers and negotiate contracts and rates
  • Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers
  • Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with the company
  • procedures and operations
  • Evaluate budgets and expenditures
  • Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement
  • enhancements
  • Ensure that all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements
  • Help with general errands.


Required Skills:

  • Matric
  • Advantage: BCom/ BCom Business Management or equivalent.
