Logistics Controller

POSITION INFO:

Responsible for supervising certain areas within the distribution centre, which includes overseeing staff, inventory and operational & administrative systems and controls.

Requirements

• NQF 5 or equivalent
• 4 years related experience (Logistics & DC)
• Intermediate MS Office skills and WMS and Blue Yonder experience
• Code 08 Drivers licence

Responsibilities:

• Forecasting and planning of resources requirements (people and equipment).
• Forecast and planning of warehousing space allocations requirements to support DC throughput growth.
• Forecast and planning of Service Provider (3PL) requirement to support DC throughput growth.
• Initiation and execution of DC resources optimization initiative.
• Optimising warehousing operations (materials Handling).
• Continuous evaluation of distribution processes and identification of opportunities for improvement.
• Execution of policies and standards pertaining to materials handling and ensuring compliance to safety standards.
• Set performance expectations provide guidance and foster a collaborative and high performing team culture.
• Maintain internal and external stakeholder relations.
• Responsible for relationship management with stakeholders and ensures adherence to service level agreement.
• Leveraging advanced system technologies to enhance the efficiency of the DC.
• Monitoring of system service provider support.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and executing inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
