Knowledge and Experience

  • Relevant Degree
  • 3 years plus experience in Clearing and Forwarding
  • Supply Chain knowledge would be beneficial
  • Sales or new business development
  • Sales training or related courses - advantage
  • Proficient on : Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
  • Strong “cold calling” experience
  • Own transport required

Main Tasks:

  • Generate new, profitable business within the Group’s defined parameters
  • Research and generating own leads
  • Cold Calling
  • Analysis, formulation and implementation of logistics solutions
  • Generate and present proposals to clients
  • Prepare estimates (costing schedules) to clients
  • Negotiate client rate increases annually
  • Coordination, collaboration and communication
