POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the job
• Overseeing company product supply chain
• Control the movement of materials needed for production into the manufacturing process and out to warehouse
• Manage inventory to ensure it is available when needed and to restock while keeping costs low
• Handle incoming and outgoing deliveries
Key Performance Indicators:
? Manage the process of scheduling the repair, maintenance, servicing, licensing, and cleanliness of all company’s vehicles
? Report on Km’s travelled by 1st of every Month
? Compare Actual Km’s vs Tracker Records
? Produce exception Report based on Average Km/h and Consumption
? Manage Containers with Diesel
? Manage warehouse inventory and keep records of the inventory to ensure accuracy
? Ensure accurate inventory to sales ratio to avoid overstock
? Follow procedures with regards to orders received / not received
? Review purchase orders and supplier delivery note to ensure accuracy
? Obtain product orders, including receiving deliveries
? Use computer to track product progress across multiple channels
? Ensure order accuracy; monitor incidents that occur
? Work with the sales team to improve the processing of customers' orders
? Ensure that policy and procedure for Goods Returned are adhered to
? All Goods returned to be received by you ONLY
? Goods Returned document needs to be completed
? All Goods Returned to be locked in cage until document has been authorized
? Picking Slips to be coordinated early
? Manage process of loading and checking to ensure accuracy
? Identify and communicate potential issues in your order fulfilment process
? Monitor cargo movement processes (Tracker Reports)
? Manage and Approve Daily Logbooks
? Plan and Coordinate cost effective loads early every morning according to the 9 Delivery Zones
? Problem Solving with regards to vehicles/drivers during after hours

Keep files of goods delivered and received by preparing regular delivery and receiving reports for managers
? Optimize the Yard space by managing tidiness and recovery, free of rubbish
? Maintain a Fully Detailed Layout for Yard
? Place merchandise in a warehouse or storeroom by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods
? Ensure Storeroom is locked and Key Designated person in control
? Yard Rotation – Oldest stock on top
? Maintain effective housekeeping
? Maintain a system to fully control all Straps, corners, rachets and tools for vehicles
? Continuous Upgrading and Improving of Storerooms (stacking, racking, labelling, maintaining)
? Maintain system of Remotes issuing to drivers to ensure Yard is always alarmed after hours

Staff Management:
? Setting clear goals and targets for subordinates and ensuring outputs are achieved
? Responsible for managing misconduct and performance management
? Ensure that warehouse staff are trained, competent and working at the right level
? Delegate individual responsibilities and projects
? Talent acquisition and onboarding
? Promote and maintain a healthy and safe working environment
? Provide motivation, support, and guidance to subordinates
? Supervise, coach and provide / arrange training for subordinates
Stakeholder engagement and communications:
? Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to improve business performance and logistics processes.

Requirements:
• Matric
• A tertiary qualification in Logistics will be an advantage
• Supervisory experience and leadership skills
• Logistics experience
• Computer Literate (Word / Excel (intermediate level) / Outlook)
• Strong communication skills
• Solution orientated
