Our client is a leading and innovative soft fruit farm, with a farm in George. They are looking for passionate and motivated Logistics and Administrative Coordinator to be based in their George office. This is an amazing opportunity for someone to join a great company.
Reporting to: Nursery Business Manager
Job Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the daily planning, coordination, and monitoring of all deliveries—both local and export. You will manage customer files, ensure quality control in the dispatch of plants from the nursery, and assist with various administrative tasks. This is a key role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service delivery to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery Coordination: Plan and monitor the daily delivery schedule, including both local and export shipments, ensuring timely and efficient distribution of products.
- Customer Relations: Maintain and manage customer files, ensuring customer service excellence and handling complaints professionally.
- Quality Control: Oversee the quality control processes for plant dispatches from the nursery, ensuring the highest standards are met and records are kept accurately.
- Administration: Handle general administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, and assisting with office-related duties.
- Logistics Support: Provide support for logistics operations, ensuring that all necessary documentation and processes are in place for smooth delivery and operations.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Education: Minimum of Grade 12 (Matric). A Logistics Diploma/Degree is beneficial.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
- Previous office administration experience is essential.
- Experience in the agriculture sector is advantageous.
- Skills:
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and logistics management software.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams effectively.
- License: A valid driver’s license is required.
Area: George.
Starting Date: as soon as possible.
Salary offered: Market related and depending on experience.
