Our client in the construction industry is seeking a Logistics and Supply Chain Assistant to support their Supply Chain Manager. This exciting role involves managing procurement, logistics, export processes, and stock control for operations in Nelspruit and Mozambique.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Matric Certificate
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, with strong skills in Excel (medium to advanced level)
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage
• Familiarity with Pastel or similar accounting software is beneficial
• Previous experience in procurement, stores management, logistics, exporting, or stock control is advantageous
• Must have a valid Drivers License and own vehicle 
• Willingness to work occasional overtime when required.
• Key Responsibilities:
  
  • Manage procurement processes for manufacturing and product line items
  • Oversee procurement operations for retail stores 
  • Monitor and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels on a daily basis
  • Conduct and manage weekly and year-end stock takes
  • Generate and maintain re-order reports to ensure inventory availability
  • Handle intercompany invoicing for shipments from Nelspruit to Mozambique
  • Prepare accurate and timely export documentation, including proformas, invoices, SADC certificates, tariff codes, and permits
  • Coordinate logistics for Intertek inspections and shipments to Mozambique
  • Manage collections, deliveries, and general logistics operations for the company
  • Maintain and update Master Data for Nelspruit and Mozambique products using Excel
  • Capture production sheets and update sales orders and stock sheets for the production team
  • Stay up-to-date on statutory export requirements for Mozambique and Swaziland
