JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, to join our client based in Centurion. you will directly report to the SIE Advisor.

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
The M&E Officer is responsible for supporting the SIE Advisor to monitor the implementation of the
various components of the M&E plan. This involves the collection, collation, analysis and presentation
of data to assist in ensuring accountability and efficiency of Shout-It-Now’s programs and services.
The M&E Officer must ensure the quality of data and disseminate and drive data to relevant levels of
internal stakeholders and external stakeholders at all levels. The M&E Officer also manages the Data
Capturers and the quality and delivery of their outputs.
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and present performance indicators to the relevant stakeholders.
• Analyse data to identify significant trends and communicate with the relevant cadre.
• Use data to answer program specific questions.
• Support implementation of data driven management approach within the organisation.
• Assist with the rollout of different aspects of the M&E plan.
• Assist in correctly collecting and reporting of the performance indicators.
• Give teams feedback on the indicator performance.
• Facilitate and help document development and implementation of quality improvement
plans.
• Measure the impact of implementing quality improvement plans.
• Participate in Evaluation Projects.
• Identify and address data quality and Integrity Issues.
• Conduct, analyse and report on quality assurance assessments.
• Ensure data is available to the right cadres on time and in the right format.
• Any other duties as may reasonably be required by Head of Monitoring and Evaluation.
Skills and Experience:
• 3 - 5 year's Monitoring and Evaluation or Data Processing Experience required.
• Relevant Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong ability and experience in collecting, process, analyse, interpret, and present data.
• Experience with PEPFAR’s DATIM & CBIMS.Net reporting
• Previous work experience with NGOs, public health sector implementing HIV testing & PrEP
or PEPFAR funded program would be an advantage.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work with teams.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Formal qualification on Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Processing will be added advantage
• Will be required to travel regularly.
• Valid driver’s license.
Technical Competencies & Values
• Hold advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficient in using advanced excel formulas &
functions such as VLOOKUP, IF statements, SUMIF and Power Query etc.
• Basic understanding of relational databases such as MySQL and SQL
• Basic understanding and experience of using Microsoft Power BI and dashboards
• An inquisitive mind - an ability to detect and tactfully question irregular data.
